So I have two thoughts in this blog.
The first is that it blows my mind to think of the vast love that God has for me. And not EVEN just me, for every single person on this earth. And not only that but God, who is perfect and all mighty, desires ME. ME. Small town girl from the middle of nowhere Wisconsin. How crazy is that? That he is in control of the universe but He desires nothing more then to spend time with me. And that He desperately awaits my arrival into Heaven with Him someday. Like that thought alone blows my mind.
But then take that and apply it further. God loves all His children, a love that I know I cannot even fathom. They say that you take the thing you love the most on this earth and that is just a drop in comparison to the love that Jesus has for us.
So taking a step aside from that- Chad and I have been dating for a year and eight months on Friday (but who’s counting). And as we grow deeper in our relationship, of just not us two but us three (Chad, God and I), I fall more and more in love with Chad. He is kind, gentle worded, hardworking and patient. But he is not only that. Chad is also a man that God created and knitted together just for ME. A man that God knew I would spend my life with before I even knew Chad, before I was even born. He’s the man that I could have easily met in high school since he only lived a town away but instead God decided to work in our hearts and for me God had Chad waiting for me once I discovered what I deserved (Thanks to the wonderful Josiah Rice who showed me what that was). Also waiting for me to become lost in God before I could have him.
So with saying that. It is incredibly humbling to me that God has giving Chad, his son, to me. That he trusts ME, small town girl from the middle of nowhere Wisconsin, with his beloved child. Take a second and think about that. Whether you’re with someone or not. That if you are with someone, God has entrusted something He loves SO much that we CANNOT EVEN FATHOM IT to be yours. To love them as He loves them. And if you aren’t that God has someone that He plans to entrust you with. That He is right now preparing for you to someday meet.
Let me just end by saying
Dude, how cool use that?
Sometimes you gotta see things in a new way. #truth #francischan #inspired #perspective
ouch. super convicting.
The Bible says “the wages of sin is death” and so often we look at it as just another little saying and blow off the fact that we ALL deserve eternal death because of the sins we commit every day! We can so easily forget that our punishment was taken away when Christ died on that cross! We need to stop cheapening the death of Christ and remember that He took the punishment that we ALL deserve so that, instead of eternal death, we now have the chance to have eternal LIFE!
